About This Pattern
Pyongwon means "plain" - a vast, stretched-out land. The plain is the source of life for all creatures and the field where human beings live their lives.
The pattern is based on the philosophical idea of peace and struggle resulting from the principles of origin and use. It represents the balance between tranquility and the challenges of life, much like the open plain that appears peaceful yet is subject to the forces of nature.
